The Seymour Duncan STL-52 "Five-Two" Telecaster Lead/Bridge pickup is an extremely balanced true single-coil pickup developed for Nashville studio players. Recommended for traditional country, country pop, blues, and classic rock. The STL-52 has a combination of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets in a balanced configuration.

Telecaster players often complain that their low strings sound "mushy" and their high strings are too bright - especially in the bridge position. The "Five-Two" concept corrects this with Alnico 5 magnets on the three low strings and Alnico 2 magnets on the three high strings. The result is an all-around, extremely well-balanced pickup with traditional output and vintage appointments such as vulcanized fibre bobbins, formvar wire, vintage magnet stagger and waxed cloth hookup cable.

The STL-52 Lead/Bridge model is commonly paired with the matching STR-52 Rhythm/Neck pickup which is wound in a Reverse-Wound, Reverse-Polarity (RWRP) configuration to allow hum cancelling. Designed for all well-balanced instruments. Works equally well with maple and rosewood fingerboards.

Players include Brent Mason, Paul Martin / Oak Ridge Boys, Dean Parks, Michael Fath.

21 Day Real World Exchange Policy

Purchase and install this pickup and check it out with your own gear, in places you normally play - concert halls, the studio, your bedroom - wherever. If you are unhappy with the pickup for any reason, you can exchange it for another Seymour Duncan pickup of equal or lesser value within 21 days of purchase. A return authorization is required, and the pickup must be returned to Seymour Duncan in good condition, with the original parts and packaging intact.
