The Seymour Duncan SSL-6T Custom Flat is a beefed up true single-coil Strat pickup for warm instruments. Perfect for Texas blues rock, classic rock and heavy rock. This model is coil-tapped to allow for custom wiring setups.
Many players use an SSL-6 in the bridge position with vintage output pickups, like SSL-2's, in the neck and middle for tonal versatility. Can also be used in the Neck and Bridge positions with the reverse wound, reverse polarity (RWRP) middle pickup for hum-canceling in positions "2" and "4" on the five-way switch. For heavier and brighter-toned instruments with ash or alder bodies. Works well with maple or rosewood fingerboards.
