The Seymour Duncan SSL-5 CSET is a calibrated set of three SSL-5 pickups for Stratocaster guitars. The middle pickup is Reverse-Wound, Reverse-Polarity (RWRP). The SSL-5 Custom Staggered Strat Pickup is a high output true single-coil for warm instruments. Perfect for Texas blues rock, classic rock and heavy rock.
Though it looks like the SSL-1 and has that distinct vintage tone, the SSL-5's over-wound coil yields higher output, more sustain and great harmonics. The result is a pickup that rocks hard and cuts through the mix, but cleans up nicely when you back off the volume.
Includes bridge, middle and neck pickups. Use the SSL-5 Reverse Wound, Reverse Polarity (RWRP) pickup in the middle for hum canceling in positions "2" and "4" on the five-way switch, with the SSL-5 standard wound pickups in the neck and bridge positions. For heavier and brighter-toned instruments with ash or alder bodies. Works well with maple or rosewood fingerboards.
