The Seymour Duncan SP90-1 is a faithful recreation of the 1946 Gibson single-coil. Recommended for country, jazz, swing, blues, rockabilly, classic rock and heavy rock.

The short, wide bobbins account for higher output and more powerful mid-range than Strat or Tele single-coils. To be vintage correct, the SP90-1 is wound with plain enamel wire on the same Leesona winder that wound the 1950s versions. The tone is sweet and smooth. Comes with single-conductor hookup cable.

Available for both neck (SP90-1n) and bridge (SP90-1b) positions in a balanced set. Often, the SP90-1 Vintage is used in the neck with an SP90-2 Hot or SP90-3 Custom in the bridge for tonal versatility.

For balanced and warm instruments. Works especially well with mahogany bodies and rosewood fingerboards. Please note the slightly taller, vintage correct, .745" height profile, compared to the SP90-2 and -3. Consult the Seymour Duncan website for complete dimensions to see if it will fit your guitar.

Players include Gary Allan (neck), Ed Roland / Collective Soul (neck & bridge), Jeff Trott & Todd Wolfe / Sheryl Crow Band (neck & bridge), Marko DeSantis / Sugarcult (neck), Jonny Wickersham / Social Distortion.

Dimensions: 3.3" L x 1.28" W x .865" H
