This version of the SH-1 is designed for 7 string guitars and includes a four conductor hookup cable and matching trim ring. String spacing: 2 13/32" (2.42", 61.2mm).
The Seymour Duncan SH-1n is a versatile PAF-type humbucker similar to the original "Patent Applied For" humbucker that was invented by Seth Lover at Gibson in the 1950's. Great for country, jazz, blues, funk, classic rock and heavy rock. This pickup provides a late-'50s, vintage-correct, humbucker sound. The sound is warm with crystalline clean tones and provides full and bright distorted tones, with smooth sustain. Compared to the SH-55 Seth Lover, the '59 has slightly more scooped mids and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.
Players include Ben Harper (neck & bridge), Robben Ford (neck &anp; bridge), Mike Einzinger / Incubus (neck), Robert Smith / The Cure.
