This pickup is reverse-wound/reverse polarity to provide hum cancelling in the 2 and 4 switch positions for that perfect Sweet Home Alabama Strat quack.
The Antiquity Texas Hot RWRP middle pickup will give you all the chime and sparkle of the standard wound Texas Hot when used on its own, but, when used in combination with either the bridge or neck pickups, will deliver that unmistakable in between sound that Stratocasters are so uniquely famous for.
Hand built in the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop, they make these for the player who wants the closest re-creation of a vintage 50s Strat pickup. Period. The Antiquity Texas Hot looks and sounds as authentic as is possible with vintage, cloth push-back lead wire, custom aged cover and aged mounting hardware. Each is lacquered and potted in lamp black paraffin wax, just like the originals.
