The Antiquity II "Twang" Tele Bridge Pickup is Seymour Duncan's tribute to the 1960s gray bottom Telecaster lead pickup. This pickup is bright and twangy with a slight softening of the treble response. There is plenty of snap and bounce of the low strings, and on the high strings this pickup gives you that classic Tele twang, but without the dreaded ice pick harshness.
The Seymour Duncan Antiquity II "Twang" Telecaster Bridge Pickup is an authentic, vintage correct reproduction of the original 1960's Telecaster bridge pickup. This pickup uses specially calibrated Alnico 5 magnets and a period-correct pole stagger, wax potting and braided cloth connector cables, all hand-aged to product the look and sound of a 1960's Telecaster. The original Antiquity Tele pickup used Alnico 2 magnets, while this pickup uses Alnico 5 magnets for increased twang, attack and sustain.
Hand built in Seymour Duncan's Custom Shop, the Antiquity II Tele pickup recreates the look and sound from the 60's. Seymour Duncan uses custom aged, gray bottom flatwork, brass plated steel bottom plate, vintage push-back cloth wire, and each pickup is lacquered and wax potted like the originals.
