The Schatten TC Artist is designed specifically for tricone type resonator guitars and provides great sound quality with good anti-feedback characteristics. This model includes an active preamp built into a 1/4" endpin jack.
The TC pickup sensor installs easily on the tricone brace, using the supplied 3M VHB adhesive. The included endpin jack preamp requires a 1/2" hold for mounting internally. Soldering required, wire clips and instructions are included.
The TC-A model includes a high quality Artist preamp built right into the endpin jack. Players who must plug directly into a mixing board will most likely need to preamp their signal in order to match up with what most mixers require in terms of impedance and signal strength. The Artist preamp can be powered by a battery installed in the guitar, or can be externally powered from phantom power using the optional CAB-1 cable, or with the optional RP-1 external battery pack (CAB-1 and RP-1 not included, available separately).
