The Schatten MVC Plus Jack Assembly measures only 1/2" in height and about 1-3/8" square, and gives you a quick and convenient way to attach a 1/4" output jack to a mandolin or a resonator guitar. These MVC jack assemblies, with Schatten's exclusive tailpiece mounting, are much more secure and a lot less likely to damage an instrument than the older 'clamp on' type of jack assemblies. The MVC jack assembly stays out of the way of your hand. The jack assembly nestles in right next to the tail piece, is only a half an inch high and mounts to the tailpiece, not to the body. The underside of the jack assembly has a protective felt backing to protect the instrument from scratches. MVC jacks will mount quickly and simply to virtually all normal tailpieces using the included 3M VHB foam tape. Some tailpieces (such as a Weber) may require a slight trimming of the mounting materials that are supplied with the jack assembly - no modifications to the instrument or tailpiece are required.
