The new Schatten AD-02 is a powerful, low profile pickup that was specifically designed for the autoharp. The new low profile sensor fits under the strings on most autoharps and attaches quickly and easily to the instrument using the double sided tape supplied with each pickup. The output jack can be mounted in a number of locations on the instrument depending upon the player's preference.
This pickup has been designed to operate properly and sound terrific without the use of a preamp when plugged into any 'normal' amp (guitar amp, bass amp, etc.). As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp. If you require the added ability to be able to plug directly into a P.A. or mixer then you may wish to add the Schatten Mini Pre belt clipable preamp.
Each pickup is hand built and tested in the Schatten Design workshop in Canada to ensure quality sound and construction, and is warranted for a period of two years from date of purchase.
