The McIntyre CLT-09 Transducer Disc Cello Pickup is an external mount pickup with an attached external jack. The oversized pickup sensor is designed to reproduce the full range of a cello, without overloading or distortion.
The fully protected pickup sensor is easily removable and can be mounted directly to the soundboard of the cello for a warm rich sound, or to the face of the bridge for a more immediate sound with increased presence and sustain. Includes a prewired 1/4" external jack, sensor mounting putty and instructions -- instrument cable not included.
The output of this pickup is sufficient to drive an amplifier directly in most cases. If you are plugging into a mixer board or PA system or need to run the signal through effects pedals or other equipment, you may need a preamp to increase the signal strength to match that equipment. Preamp not included.
