The Lace 09000 Dobro™ Sensor pickup for round-neck resonators was developed several years ago in cooperation with the Dobro factory, when they were located down the street from Lace in Huntington Beach. Lace developed this pickup after about a year's worth of collaboration between the two companies.
The Lace Dobro Sensor is the only magnetic Dobro style pickup available today. It can take you from the gritty Delta to the twang of Bluegrass and all points in between. This pickup has great overall balance and clarity, capturing the true essence, versatility and soul of this unique instrument.
Noted users of the Lace Dobro pickup include Ronnie Wood, Bob Dylan, and a host of others. Currently used by the Dixie Chicks for both recording and in concert.
Note: This model of the Lace Dobro Sensor is designed for resonators that have about 1/2" or more of space between the strings and the body at the end of the fretboard. Pickup height ranges from about 0.365" (3/8") to 0.437" (7/16") to allow mounting on instruments with different string heights. Minimum pickup height is 0.365", height can be increased by adding additional layers of double-sided foam adhesive tape (not included). Pickup cover height is about 0.275" (9/32") not including mounting adhesive.
The Lace Dobro Sensor includes a high quality two-foot cable with a prewired female 1/4" jack that attaches conveniently to your existing strap button, or the jack can be mounted internally for a more permanent installation. You can then use your favorite 1/4" instrument cable (not included) to plug into your amplifier.
