The K&K Sound Noiseless Power Supply is specially designed to run K&K's 9-volt battery-powered preamps. Regular power supply adapters have a 60 Hz hum, but this power supply has a noise suppression filter to eliminate that hum. It works on all voltages from 110 to 220 volts and comes with US prongs. Just use a travel adapter anywhere else in the world.
The K&K Power Supply works with all K&K preamps that use a 9 volt battery, including the Pure and Pure XLR Preamps, Dual Channel Pro and Pro ST Preamps, Bass Master Pro and RB Plus systems, and PowerMix Pure XT preamps. Not for use with the Trinity series preamps as the higher voltage output will cause problems with the Trinity microphone - a different power adapter is available for the Trinity preamps.
With this specially designed noiseless power supply, you can save batteries PLUS get better performance out of your preamp's circuit. This power supply provides higher voltage (compared to a 9 volt battery), which allows the circuits to function more efficiently. This means better headroom, more clarity and lower distortion. It is especially efficient with all K&K's dual-channel preamps (including the PowerMix Pure, Bass Master Rockabilly, and Bass Master Pro preamps) due to their relatively high power consumption.
The K&K Power Supply works with US (110V) and European (220V) voltage (with a simple travel adapter). Use it whenever you do not need the extended freedom of movement with battery operation, save money on batteries, support the environment, and get a cleaner sound with this noiseless power supply.
To connect, simply hook your existing preamp up to the power adapter's 9V battery clip, instead of to a 9V battery. The thin and extra-rigid 3/32" cable exits on the input/output jack side of the preamp between the lid and the rear panel. The newer K&K dual-channel models even have a little notch for the cable above the center jack (see picture below). K&K uses this thin cable for the first 5 feet in order to provide a comfortable weight and feel and of course to allow for use with any existing K&K preamp even without the notch on the rear panel.
