The K&K Sound Meridian Preamp is the same preamp/power supply unit that is included with the basic Meridian system for guitar or mandolin. The preamp supplies power to the Meridian microphone and also increases the signal strength to a usable level. A trim pot is supplied to adjust the midrange contour to match the room acoustics.
The K&K Meridian Preamp includes a standard 1/4" female input jack for the Meridian microphone, and a standard XLR output jack. Runs on 12-48V phantom power supplied via the XLR cable from your PA system or mixer board, or 9V DC adapter (not included). Meridian microphone not included.
