The K&K Sound Dual Channel Pro ST Preamp is a belt-clip style two channel preamp/EQ designed to mix two pickups. The K&K Dual Channel Pro ST accepts inputs from piezo or magnetic pickups, and features extremely low noise operation. It can process high input peaks without distortion and offers an incredible dynamic range.
The K&K Dual Channel Pro ST provides bass, midrange and treble controls for each channel, as well as internal gain adjustments which set the preamplification factor from 1 to 10 (per channel) for up to a 10-fold increase in signal strength. It features 2 volume control knobs, one 1/4" stereo inputs and two 1/4" mono outputs on the outside of the preamp box. Inside the preamp are adjustable trim pot controls for gain, bass and treble for each channel, accessible by removing the snap-on cover. The tone controls offer an incredible +/- 20 dB -- this is a wider range than some big mixer boards on the market.
To keep the box as small as possible the EQ and gain controls are trim pots (small potentiometers) that can be adjusted with the supplied precision screw driver. Once you installed the two pickup systems you have chosen for your instrument, you can adjust them with the trim pots to your personal taste and needs. During performance, the two volume knobs on the outside allow for fast balancing on the fly.
