The Highlander IP-1X Inline Pickup/Preamp System is specifically designed for single cone biscuit bridge National Resonator style guitars. This system includes a replacement biscuit with an embedded pickup sensor, an inline preamp, an external power unit and a stereo cable.
The IP-1X pickup's flexibility enables it to be installed in a circular groove that is pre-slotted into the underside of the included replacement biscuit bridge. The pickup is ideally positioned to capture the complex tone and power of your resonator guitar.
The IP-1X Inline preamp was developed to simplify installation in resonator guitars. The preamp attaches to the neck block with two small clamps and is prewired to a standard 1/4" output jack. The jack can be mounted conveniently anywhere on the guitar./P>
Changing batteries in National-Style Guitars can be difficult. The included Highlander External Power Unit solves this problem. A standard 9V battery (not included) is housed inside a rugged die cast aluminum box. The included stereo cable connects the External Power Unit to the endpin jack on your guitar and carries both power and audio. The IP-1X Inline is supplied complete with the External Power Unit and a 15-foot (4.5-meter) professional quality stereo cable.
