The Fishman Rare Earth Mic Blend pickup system is an updated version of the original Rare Earth Blend pickup system, and includes the Rare Earth active magnetic soundhole pickup along with an improved microphone and controls. This combination provides a warm and full humbucking (hum-cancelling) sound.
The Fishman Rare Earth Mic Blend system includes a new and improved flexible cardioid microphone along with a microphone bass extension/roll-off switch. The easily accessible Mic/Pickup Blend control offers just the right blend at your fingertips. For unequaled sound quality and ease of use, it's hard to beat the performance of the Rare Earth Mic Blend.
Fits soundholes as small as 3 5/8” (92 mm) diameter. Since the preamp is built directly into the pickup housing, the prewired output jack can be used externally or can be internally mounted for a more permanent installation. For 6-string and 12-string steel string guitars, will not work on nylon string guitars.
