The Fishman Matrix Infinity Pickup System is the result of over 25 years of collective R&D from acoustic amplification leaders Fishman. This undersaddle pickup is poised to change the way you look at undersaddle pickups, offering superb string-to-string balance and tonal accuracy. Building off of the Acoustic Matrix pickups that came before, the Matrix Infinity now offers a new, complete redesigned active endpin mounted preamp with soundhole-mounted rotary volume and tone controls. Acoustic players of any genre and guitar body-size can benefit from the amazing sound of the Fishman Matrix Infinity.
The new soundhole mounted controls provide immediate access to volume and tone. The unique tone control cuts mids while boosting treble and bass to eliminate the midrange emphasis that often results in a nasal, hollow sound. An integrated LED indicates a low battery condition. A switch is included to select between the original Matrix I and the newer Matrix II voicing. The Matrix I voicing adds a slight amount of bass emphasis for smaller bodied guitars, while the Matrix II voicing offers a more traditional, flatter equalization setting for standard dreadnought sized guitars.
Designed for both steel and nylon string guitars. Exceptionally roadworthy, the Matrix Infinity Narrow Format includes the narrow 3/32" undersaddle pickup, which is standard on most guitars. The Matrix Infinity pickup has a standard overall length of 2.65" that will fit most guitars with string spacing of up to 2.5" The Matrix Infinity requires a 9V battery (not included), professional installation is recommended.
