I put the Alumitone in that aluminum guitar over the weekend........VERY NICE!!! Not only does it look perfect but wow what a sound. Very clean and clear into a clean channel(nice single coil sound). Incredible detail overdriven to the max. No Noise.

I could try to compare it to alot of different pickups....But the sound is really quite unique, in a really good kind of way. The only thing other thing I have that sound close, overdriven, is a Burns Trisonic sans typical single coil noise. Unlike the single coil version, this little beast fits into a standard humbucker frame opening.

Now that I think about it, that was one of the reasons I drug my feet trying the single coils. There was an additional investment in a pickguard that couldn't be used for anything else.

I didn't bother trying it in anything else......didn't need too. It's very obvious that this would sound good in just about anything. If it wasn't so futuristic looking, it might even be nice in a holowbody.

Anyway, I'm very happy...It's purfect!
